Designed for clinical efficiency and patient privacy, the space combines thoughtful planning with a calm, professional atmosphere.
Designing a specialist cardiology clinic within a fixed hospital footprint required careful spatial planning to accommodate multiple consult rooms, echo suites, and clinical support spaces. The layout needed to support privacy, efficiency, and sensitive cardiac care, all while ensuring a calming environment for patients undergoing diagnostic testing.
We maximised the available space through strategic zoning and efficient circulation paths, ensuring each room had a clear clinical purpose. Acoustic treatment, soft lighting, and a muted material palette helped create a calm, discreet setting. Custom joinery and subtle wayfinding enhanced functionality without visual clutter.
Patient and staff safety were central to the design. Finishes were selected for durability, infection control, and ease of maintenance. Clear sightlines, accessible pathways, and compliant layouts supported safe movement and emergency response, while all clinical spaces adhered to relevant healthcare standards.
