Designed as Collaborative Orthopaedic Group’s primary consulting suite, the space reflects the character of the COG Surgery brand through a warm, refined and highly functional interior. Natural light, considered materiality and a calm, welcoming palette create a more personal patient experience while maintaining the professionalism of a specialist healthcare environment.
The challenge was to create a highly functional consulting environment with clear patient and staff flow, while avoiding a traditional clinical feel. The design also needed to make the most of the abundant natural light entering the reception and waiting area.
Curved forms, soft timber tones, built-in planters, banquette seating and considered colour bring warmth and movement throughout the space. Dr Janan’s consulting room was designed as a key feature, with bespoke joinery and refined detailing creating a sophisticated and personal environment.
Natural light, greenery, warm materials and softer forms were used to create a calm and welcoming patient experience. Comfortable seating and a considered material palette help soften the clinical environment and support a greater sense of ease throughout the practice.
