The Drysdale Clinic refurbishment delivers a functional and welcoming healthcare environment for patients and staff. The project expanded the clinic from 10 to 14 consult rooms and introduced dedicated pathology, treatment, sterilisation and storage spaces, improved waiting areas and enhanced staff amenities. Delivered in two stages, half of the clinic remained operational throughout construction, ensuring continuity of care while supporting the practice’s ongoing growth.

The Challenge

The key challenge was delivering a major internal refurbishment while keeping the clinic operational. The practice also needed to expand from 10 to 14 consult rooms and introduce new pathology, treatment, staff and support spaces within the existing footprint.

The Solution

A two-stage construction approach allowed one half of the clinic to remain operational while works progressed in the other. The new layout improves circulation, waiting capacity and clinical functionality, while adding consult and treatment rooms, pathology spaces, staff amenities, toilets, sterilisation and storage facilities.

Health and Wellbeing Considerations

Clear circulation, considered zoning and dedicated sterilisation and storage areas support patient flow, infection control and efficient clinical workflows. Construction staging and separated work zones also helped maintain a safe environment throughout the refurbishment.
