This project came with a few challenges, including fitting all required services into two combined tenancies while making sure every area was compliant and used efficiently. We had to carefully plan the layout to maximise space while meeting strict radiology standards. One key challenge was the existing external windows, which needed to be covered with lead to ensure the right level of radiation shielding. Despite these obstacles, we delivered a high-quality, fully compliant radiology facility that meets both operational needs and patient comfort.

To overcome these challenges, we took a strategic approach to space planning, ensuring every area was optimised for functionality and compliance. By carefully coordinating services and refining the layout, we were able to fit everything efficiently within the two combined tenancies. For the existing external windows, we implemented lead shielding solutions to meet radiology compliance standards while maintaining a seamless interior finish. Through close collaboration between our design and construction teams, we delivered a well-balanced, fully compliant space that supports both staff operations and patient care.

Safety was a top priority throughout the project, particularly when it came to meeting the stringent radiation shielding requirements for the radiology space. We carefully assessed the layout to ensure that all areas complied with safety regulations, especially in terms of shielding and safe access for both patients and staff. Special attention was given to the existing windows, which were covered with lead to prevent radiation exposure. Additionally, we incorporated safety features throughout the design, such as clear signage, secure work areas, and patient-friendly spaces, ensuring that the environment was safe, functional, and comfortable for everyone.
