Lotus Dental, Brunswick

The primary challenge for the Brunswick dental practice was to create a modern, patient-centred environment that maintained a balance between functionality and aesthetic appeal. The practice needed to accommodate five surgeries within a relatively compact space, ensuring each area remained practical for dental procedures while still feeling welcoming. Additionally, the design had to reflect the clinic’s vision of offering a calming and approachable atmosphere, which required careful consideration of materials, lighting, and spatial planning.

To overcome these challenges, the design team embraced the building’s unique curves, incorporating them into the layout rather than working against them. This creative approach allowed for a seamless blend of old and new, where calming tones and playful design elements were introduced to create a welcoming, tranquil space. Despite the constraints, the team successfully delivered a functional and visually engaging dental practice that meets the needs of both staff and patients while reflecting the community’s character.
