Balancing the needs for ongoing rehabilitation programmes with minimising disruptions was critical, as the facility needed to continue operating smoothly during construction. Maintaining the natural ambiance of the area, which is essential to patient recovery, added complexity, especially when integrating modern infrastructure. The remoteness of the site complicated access to building materials and skilled labour. Managing logistics, including compliance with heavy vehicle regulations, and ensuring timely delivery of materials was another significant hurdle. Planning risks, such as local environmental regulations, also posed challenges in keeping the project on track.

This project showcases the integration of sustainable design in a healthcare setting, balancing patient rehabilitation with operational continuity. To minimise disruptions during construction, our team employed soundproofing and zoning techniques. The calming atmosphere, created with neutral tones and natural textures, enhances the healing process. We navigated logistical challenges by collaborating with local partners and utilising prefabrication, while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Ultimately, the facility supports patient recovery and harmonises with its natural surroundings.
